Eastchester Beautification Foundation
Eastchester Beautification Foundation, Inc. is a not-for-profit, citizen's organization that helps add to and preserve the beauty and aesthetic value of Eastchester – specifically the unincorporated Town of Eastchester within the township of Eastchester. Eastchester Beautification Foundation, Inc. (EBF), founded in 1971, is an independent foundation with a Board of Directors and membership of citizens, neighborhood associations and businesses.
The Foundation works closely with the Town Supervisor, the Town’s Parks department and Highway and Maintenance Department to make Eastchester a more beautiful place to live, work and play.
Funds raised by EBF from donations and events are dedicated to the Town of Eastchester's beautification and preservation projects. Donations to EBF have been used to help Eastchester with plantings, planters, street furniture, signage and special project holiday events and decorations.
EBF also advocates for preservation of green space, parks and scenic views as well as architectural improvements ~ both commercial and private. EBF volunteers its services to business owners to help with concepts and aesthetic improvements to their property and, when needed, consults with the Town.
Eastchester Beautification applauds and encourages those property owners who keep in mind the rich history of Eastchester by choosing architectural details and styles that reflect our past as well as renovating their properties with authentic materials and plans that preserve our history.

Town of Eastchester Celebrates 350 years
In Spring 2014, Eastchester “Celebrate 350" banners, incorporating burgundy silkscreen fabric with rich cream lettering, were installed in the business districts of Eastchester, Tuckahoe and Bronxville. These double-sided fabric signs proudly announced the town’s 350th birthday year
to all and demonstrated the community’s unity.
“This was a totally cooperative effort to support the anniversary celebration,” said Town Supervisor Anthony Colavita. “Although the town has provided the approximate 100 banners, they were designed, ordered and installed in consultation with the Eastchester Beautification Foundation, the Town Highway Department, the Department of Public Works in Tuckahoe and the Bronxville Chamber of Commerce.”
Supervisor Colavita noted the importance of 2014 to all town residents and expressed his appreciation to the Eastchester Beautification Foundation, especially Judy Blau and Maura McMahon, for coordinating this project.

Gazebo Park
The Oakridge Park/Gazebo Park restoration project photos below, illustrate how a citizen's organization like EBF can make a difference in Town. The park's history has been a partnership with Eastchester Rotary Club, Eastchester Beautification Foundation and the Town of Eastchester. The Rotary Club donated the gazebo to the park and EBF continues to plant and plan for park improvements working with many Town organizations and citizens.

WRAPS award
Eastchester Beautification Foundation is pleased to announce that we received an award for public service from the Westchester Recreation and Park Society (WRAPS). EBF was nominated for the award by Sally Veltidi, Recreation Supervisor from the Eastchester Recreation Department.
The Award Criteria was for “an organization that has provided unselfish service on behalf of the residents of Westchester County and in the interest of public recreation, parks, conservation and other related governmental services for at least five years since 2006 in a special program or endeavor.”
The WRAPS Award was particularly meaningful to EBF because it acknowledged hard fought for progress. EBF energy and resources have had to be spread thin to cover the multiple business districts and residential areas that make up the Unincorporated Eastchester Town outside. The progress of EBF has recently become more visible on a ride through Town Center where new lampposts, street furniture, flowers, planters, fall banners and holiday décor can be seen, as well as at Memorial Park and various spots around town, north and south.
EBF is proud of this award and wants to share it with the Community because no award is accomplished without the support and cooperation of many. Town beautification is always a joint effort.
